World War Z // Max Brooks.

One of the most impressive aspects of Brooks’ craft is his quick apprehension of varied nations. Each voice…unique, each story…intriguing, each person…its own. The initial reaction to this hodgepodge was bewildering, but eventually it became a diverse tessellation–each block as important as the previous. Another appreciated character are the painstaking details that both etches hard lines and solicits personalized colors: the framework is laid, but the reader has the privilege to encase it. Overall, a fun book with splotches of dry reads.
